Meet Beth

I’m a certified coach who guides women on their journey to discover their courageous life.

My Journey

My own courageous life has been about embracing that I am good enough. My story starts as adoptee. I’ve always known I’m adopted and I still remember the book my parents read to me where they crossed out the names in the story and replaced it with our names. From there, I found myself in a pattern of circumstances where I fought to be seen. I became an athlete in a time when girls didn’t play sports, to realized that I am gay during a time when that was not openly celebrated, and I chose the male-dominated field of science as a career, often leaving me as the only woman in the room. Struggling to make my own path in all these spaces left me questioning whether I was good enough.

  • It’s no surprise I spent my youth and young adulthood running from myself, and I ran hard.  Of course, I didn’t know it at the time. It has taken years to unpack the societal messages that became internal messages that I wasn’t good enough. Athletics saved me; it was my touchstone. It was one place I knew I was okay.

My adulthood has been about reconnecting with myself. I stopped looking for the external validation and turned my focus inward. How do I define good enough? How do I want to live my life? This internal journey has been incredible! Both rewarding and painful.  In this journey, I’ve experienced various modalities to support my growth, from corporate training to shamanic healing. And yes, I have a coach, too! Through these, I’ve become more loving and gentler toward myself. By embracing my personal power and creating a life that I choose, I've accepted that I'm good enough and can live in alignment with my values.

I founded Wholebeing Energy Coaching to guide women on their journey to discover their courageous life - authentic, integrated, and values-based.  It would be an honor to witness your journey. My focus is on leadership, performance, and life coaching for women professionals and student athletes, based on my experience as a collegiate 2 sport athlete and chemistry major and my 25+ year pharma/biotech career (see my bio).

My own courageous journey makes me eager to help others in their journey. What are your touchstones -- those things that help you get through difficult times? Or help you change the narrative in your head?  Not sure? Let's have a conversation.

Beth’s Bio

After graduating with a degree in chemistry from the University of New Hampshire, Beth’s professional career started as she had dreamed of, as a high school chemistry teacher at Governor’s Academy. In college, she was a 4-year Division 1 soccer and lacrosse player, captain in both sports and a member of the 1990 USA Lacrosse Squad. Beth’s love of sports led to an assistance lacrosse coaching position at Ohio Wesleyan University. She continues to coach high school lacrosse as her career allows.

After coaching at OWU, Beth settled into a 25+ year Quality and Regulatory Affairs career in the Pharma/Biotech industry. Whether in the QC lab or as a Reg CMC professional, she was always teaching, mentoring, and coaching. At Boehringer Ingelheim, she was one of 24 managers from North America selected for a Leadership Training Program. She earned a certification in Project Management from the University of Washington. She was a Global Reg CMC Lead for multiple products throughout her career, including BLAs, the first ADC IND at Amgen, the first cell therapy IND at Juno Therapeutics, and products with clinical trials in 40+ countries.

  • Once learning about the certification program at the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching (iPEC) and their mission “to raise the consciousness of the world, one person at a time”, Beth had a vision to be a life coach.  She is now a certified coach in Energy Leadership™, COR.E Dynamics™ (Performance and Wellness) and an E.L.I Master Practitioner.  She fulfilled that vision by founding Wholebeing Energy Coaching.

Beth also has a passion for music! She is the Co-Chair of the Board of Directors for the nonprofit Rain City Rock Camp (RCRC). At RCRC she has volunteered in multiple roles and was the Acting Managing Director during the transition between executive directors. She also has a solo project, Beth Rocks, where she writes and plays music.
